Against the backdrop of rising global sustainability requirements, international markets are tightening standards on responsible business practices, supply chain compliance and green production. With the European Green Deal, evolving brand audit standards and stricter Chinese import rules, compliance capability has become a key competitive advantage for exporters.
To support Vietnamese enterprises, CTI and its subsidiary Openview Vietnam successfully organized the trade compliance seminar “A Green Passport to Global Markets” in Can Tho on 24 July 2026. The event focused on key Mekong Delta industries — apparel, footwear, furniture and aquatic products — and brought together senior experts to share practical compliance solutions for European, American and Chinese markets.

Six Core Themes
The seminar addressed end-to-end compliance needs through six key topics:

Key Insights from Industry Experts
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director of Mekong Delta VCCI, presented an overview of the region’s export performance, highlighting both opportunities and challenges facing local enterprises in apparel, footwear, furniture and aquatic products.
Mr. Le Chi Cuong, Executive General Manager of Openview Southeast Asia, shared comprehensive CSR solutions covering global brand requirements, GRS/RCS sustainability standards, C-TPAT security frameworks and Chinese market access rules, together with practical implementation roadmaps for factories.
Mr. Dien Nguyen, Senior Sustainability Manager at Openview, analysed common compliance issues that cause order rejections, focusing on labour rights, occupational health & safety and environmental protection, and provided guidance for proactive risk mitigation.
Mr. Khoa Nguyen delivered a dedicated session on WRAP certification, explaining its 12 core principles aligned with ILO guidelines, the certification process and its value in helping factories meet multi-brand social responsibility requirements with a single audit.
Ms. Le Dinh, Sedex Regional Representative for Vietnam, outlined how Sedex and SMETA audits support enterprises in aligning with the European Green Deal through its four-pillar framework of Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.
Qin Anlan, Technical Consultant for Food Import & Export at CTI, focused on practical compliance for seafood exports to China, covering market access verification, overseas factory registration, documentation, labelling and inspection requirements to help enterprises avoid detention and rejection risks.
Supporting Enterprises’ Global Expansion
The seminar provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and practical solutions, helping Vietnamese exporters better understand compliance requirements across major markets and build stronger, more sustainable supply chains.
Moving forward, Openview Vietnam will continue to deepen its local presence, leveraging CTI’s global expertise to deliver customized sustainability and supply chain compliance solutions that empower Vietnamese enterprises to expand confidently into international markets.
